This week is Valentine’s Day and you know what that means…!

Valentines to share in the classroom for the youngsters and sweet treats to munch on πŸ™‚

This year my daughter wanted to hand out these felt fortune cookies as her valentines. They are super easy to make and is a great project to do together πŸ™‚

**********

Here are some general directions:

Using wool felt (I could only find 35% wool ; 100% is way way stiffer and better), trace and cut out circles. Mine were 3.75″ in diameter.

Fold in half (without creasing) and sew a little semi circle around the edge.

Stick each forefinger in each “hole” , place thumb in center and fold in half by pulling the ends together. Β Place a dart stitch to hold the ends together.

And that’s it! Easy peasy!! Just print out some appropriate fortunes and tuck them inside with the end poking out.

Here are some links to some fortune saying sites I found πŸ™‚
